Daffodil

Also called �common daffodil�, or �trumpet narcissus (species Narcissus pseudonarcissus)� bulb-forming flowering plant of the genus Narcissus (q.v.), native to northern Europe and widely cultivated there and in North America. The daffodil grows to about 16 inches (41 cm) in height and has five or six leaves that grow from the bulb and are about 12 inches (30 cm) long.
